Tuesday February 2nd 2010, the day started out before noon with a traffic control call assist to PSP while they investigated the crash from last Thursday. The next incident came in shortly before 16:00 for traffic control assist to the Police for a vehicle roll over on SR 167 North of Montrose. The next call came in around 17:05 for the reported Chimney fire on SR 29 north in Bridgewater twp. United 11 reported to the scene to find a 1 story residential with heavy smoke in the residence probable working structure fire. The tower responded with a crew of 5 and Engine 2 with a crew of 5. The tower arrived and was directed to ladder to ladder the chimney and get a inside crew to find he source. (More) |
| 1 Vehicle Crash | |
| Around 18:30 on Sunday January 31st, 2010 United fire and Montrose E.M.S. were alerted for a 1 vehicle crash on SR 29 South near the bowling ally. Communications reported car into a utility pole unknown if wires were down. United 11 (P. Sprout) arrived quickly to find a small coup that had struck a utility pole with both occupants out of the vehicle requiring E.M.S. evaluation, no wires down. United rescue responded with 4 and Engine 2 with 5. United rescue arrived and pulled up to the vehicle to handle the hazards while Engine 2 took a blocking position in the south bound lanes. United fire Police handled traffic. (More) |

| Assist Springville Chimney Fire | |

At 15:57 on Saturday January 30th, 2009 United Fire was alerted for an Engine and Tower to assist Springville fire on a chimney fire on the Dimock to Brooklyn Rd in Dimock twp. United 13 (C.E. Daly) was first to arrive with nothing showing. Springville engine 1 and tanker arrived on scene and laddered the roof and set up the chimney snuffer. United tower arrived with a crew of 5 and went to work assisting cleaning out the fire box as well as ventilating the structure. United engine 6 was staged at the Dimock twp. building. Crews found a blocked stove pipe and removed the blockage. Crews also checked for extension to the wall area around the pipe. Crews then cleaned the chimney. (More) |
| Crash with Entrapment | |

at 17:05 on Thursday January 28th, 2010 United fire and Montrose
E.M.S. were alerted for a 2 vehicle crash with one caller
reporting entrapment. The crash was located on SR 706 west near
the Penn-DOT shed. With in seconds of dispatch Montrose MICU 3
was reporting on scene with confirmed entrapment requesting the
rescue to expedite. United rescue responded with a crew of 4.
The rescue arrived to find a pick-up versus mini van with one
trapped in the van United 17 (C. Sprout) established the 706
west command. Crews began setting up for the rescue but were
advised by E.M.S. that the Patient had succumbed to his injures.
Crews then stood by setting up a detour to rout traffic around
the scene. Engine 2 had responded but was canncelled and
sent back to respond the Utility.
