Eating and texting while driving
On Monday June 29th, 2009 around 18:45 United fire was alerted for a 1 vehicle crash with the vehicle over the bank on SR 29 south. United rescue, engine 2 and the utility would respond. Rescue 1 would arrive to find the vehicle off the road with the driver out of the car in the care of EMS with no injuries. The engine and utility would set up traffic while the rescue crew handled the hazards. Crews remained on scene while psp did the investigation and the tow service removed the vehicle. Another Single Vehicle Crash
Just after 22:00 hours on the evening of June 24th, 2009 united fire was alerted for a single vehicle crash on the North Rd. in Bridgewater twp. United 11 was first to arrive to find a small sedan in the road with heavy damage and all occupants were out of the vehicle. United rescue, Engine 2, and the utility would respond.  Command would have the rescue come into the scene to control hazards and provide lighting, while the utility and engine 2 handled the traffic. None of the three occupants required transport from EMS. United Units remained while PSP did the investigation and the Tow service removed the vehicle. (More)
 Pump Operations 1
On the evening of Tuesday June 23, 2009 several members on the United Fire Company along with a member from Little Meadows attended the 3rd segment of the pump ops 1 class being sponsored by the United Fire Company. The class was held at the Andre's and Sons pond where participants were able to get hands on training. this 16 hour state recognized class is nessiccary for all pump operators in the united fire company. Class was slightly delayed due to having to handle an automatic Fire Alarm in the boro just as we were getting set up for class. (More)
1 Vehicle crash in the Boro
Around 04:45 hours on the morning of June 18th, 2009 United fire was alerted for the 2 vehicle crash head on Lake Ave. in the Boro. United 11 (P. Sprout) would arrive to find a 1 vehicle crash with no entrapment. Command would request the engine only on the response. Engine 2 would respond with a crew of 6. The Engine would arrive and set up traffic control as well as controlling hazards. EMS transported 1 person to the hospital for evaluation. Units remained on scene wile PSP did the investigation and the Tow service removed the vehicle. Units were in service just after 06:00. (More)
