Land Rescue/Structure Fire

On the evening Wednesday, July 27 2008 at around 18:00 Susquehanna County Communications Dispatched the box for an ATV accident with 1 pinned under the machine in Springville's fist due. United Rescue with a crew of 4 and United 11 responded. Springville arrived and reported that the PT was no longer pinned but was about a mile off the road. The united crew began getting ready to remove the patient as Communications was dispatching United Fire for the reported structure fire at 10 Wilson St. in the Boro. Crash Injures One
On Sunday June 29th, 2008 at 13:20 hours United Fire company was dispatched for the 1 car crash with no injuries, vehicle blocking the road, with a tree down on Baker Rd. Dimock Twp. United Rescue 1and Engine 2 responded with a total of 7 personnel. United 13 (C.E. Daly) was first to arrive finding 1 car blocking the road with a small tree down and 2 injuries on scene. 2nd Crash with confinement in 2 days
On Saturday June 28th, 2008 at around 15:00 United was dispatched for a 1 car crash vehicle into a shed on the Forestlake Rd. In Jessup twp. Forestlake fire and QRS we already dispatched due to confusion on the location. United 14 (P. Johnson) went responding to the scene. United Rescue 1 and Engine 2 responded with a total of 7 members. Forestlake rescue arrived 1st to find a sedan into a pole with one confined. The forestlake crew deployed box cribbing to stabilize the vehicle while getting their combo tool in service.  (read more)

 Decon Drill

On Tuesday June 24th, 2008 United Fire Company participated in a Decon drill. United Engine 2 with a crew of five went to the Endless Mountains Health Systems Hospital in Montrose to assist staff with deploying the decon tent. Crews from Springville, Forestlake and Little Meadows also attended. Crews were able to see what capabilities the hospital had and learned what was needed in the event a disaster occurs.
