Elk lake Engine 5 arrived
first followed by Elk Lake Tanker 2. The engine crew deployed a 1
3/4" pre-connect from the engine and worked around the perimeter of
the fire putting out the grass fire that had been started and then kept
the fire confined to the original footprint of the house. United Engine
arrived and was assigned to bypass the scene and establish a water supply
from a small pond down the road. Command then returned United Tanker
4 to service. Crews kept the fire in check until it had contained
it's self to the basement. United crews operated for about an hour
before command returned the engine to service.
