Around 23:00 on Thursday November 2nd,
2006 United Fire Company was dispatched on the box alarm assignment
assist to Hop Bottom Hose Company for the report of a possible
chimney fire on SR 2015 in Brooklyn TWP. The assignment
brought United Engine 6 Tower 3 and Tanker 4. Hop Bottom 11 (M.Turner)
arrived on scene first and established the command with a
light smoke condition in the residence. Once United units
arrived on scene they were assigned to overhaul duties
in the basement. It was found that the furnace had caught a
nearby wall on fire and was quickly put out. Units operated on
scene for about an hour before being released by command. The
was minimal damage to the residence and no injuries
reported.
