Penelec to the scene due to the utility pole being broken. Crews disconnected
the battery and placed absorbent and pads to control the leaking fuel
and oil. Crews also set up traffic detour while we awaited the utility company
to arrive. Units remained on scene to provide lighting for the utility
and wrecker service. Crews operated for a total of about 2
hours.

On the evening of Monday
November 13th, 2006 communications dispatched United Fire
Company along with Montrose EMS to a report of a single vehicle
accident on SR 29 south near the municipal
building. United 11 (P.Sprout) arrived first giving
the report of a single vehicle wrapped around a telephone pole with all
occupants out of the vehicle. United Rescue1 and Engine 2 responded
with a total of 10 members with additional members responding to the
scene. Command assigned The rescue to the south end of the scene to set up
lighting and control traffic. The Engine was assigned to the north end setting
up lighting and to control hazards.
