| On Sunday December 3rd
2006 at 11:40 hours Susquehanna County Communications dispatched the
first alarm assignment for Elk Lake Fire Company reporting a trailer
fire on the Dimock to Elk Lake Rd. This brought United Engine 6 and
Tanker 4. Elk Lake 37 (B.Huntsinger) was the fist to arrive reporting
working fire. Elk Lake 12 then requested that Springville Tanker be
brought to the scene. Elk Lake 12 established command requesting the
first in engine (Elk Lake Engine 5) deploy a line into the residence for
an interior attack. |

Command Requested united Engine to send its
crew up to back up the interior crew and complete the truck operations.
while the engine set up a tanker fill. United Brush 5 also responded to
assist with water supply. After water supply was a established a second
line was placed in service to knock down the fire under the trailer
while the crews continued inside. A special request was also put out for
united Rescue to refill air bottles. Crews brought the fire under
control quickly but remained on scene for about 3 hours to complete overhaul.
The Home suffered heavy damage. there were no injuries reported.
