On Friday January 12th, 2007 at 08:47 hours Communications dispatched United Fire along with Montrose EMS to the report of a structure fire on Post Pond Road in Bridgewater Twp. at M&M Machine Shop. As units responded communications updated that this was not the main building but an out building with equipment in it. The first firefighter on scene reported back to United 13 (C.E. Daly) that it was a 20' X 40' single story wood frame with heavy smoke from the roof in the area of the chimney. Upon further investigation it was found  to have fire in the insulation of the ceiling in the area of chimney extending to the roof. As United 13 was arriving the building owner had got a garden hose inside the building and knocked down the fire.
