1 Pinned SR 29 South 

Just before 08:00 hours on Friday February 23rd, 2007 Susquehanna County Communications dispatched United Fire Company along with Montrose EMS. for a report of a vehicle fire on SR 29 south Dimock Twp. near woodburne. United 11 (P.Sprout) responded promptly and communications updated him that they were now getting reports of a vehicle overturned in the same area. United 11 requested that it be redispatched as a motor vehicle crash. United Rescue 1 and Engine 2 responded with 6 personnel. United 11 arrived on scene and established command with the report of one vehicle overturned into a pole with entrapment.

Crews went to work with the saws and O cutter to remove the roof to gain access the the pts legs that were pinned under the dash. Once the roof was off the crews could access to leg area nd found that by removing some debris from around the legs they were able to remove them from under the dash. Crews packaged the patient and handed him off to EMS. United crews remained on scene while Gibson State Police did the investigation and the tow service removed the vehicle. The Patient was Transported to the hospital by Montrose EMS with moderate injuries. No other injuries were reported and all United units were in service by 09:00.

United 13 (C.E Daly) arrived next and was assigned to operations. Command requested that when the rescue arrived to deploy the air shores and box cribbing to stabilize the vehicle command also requested the next due rescue due to light staffing and have the helicopter to fly. Command requested Springville fire be dispatched to et up a landing zone at the Dimock twp building and fire police to the scene to close the road. The rescue arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicle and the engine stretched a hose pack for a safety line. The rescue crew deployed the saws alls, air chisel, and hydraulics and began the extrication.
