2 Car Crash Montrose Boro

Command requested that the engine crew set up coming down the hill on Locust St. and control the hazards. The engine crew cleaned up the leaking fluids and disconnected the battery and swept the road. Montrose Boro Police did the investigation and 1 person was transported by ambulance with unknown extent of injuries. Crews remained on scene until the tow service removed the vehicles. Units were back in service at 14:10 

At 13:44 on Thursday March 1st, 2007 Communications dispatched United Fire Company and Montrose EMS for the report of a 2 car crash with injuries at the corner of High St. and Locust St. Montrose Borough. United 11 (P.Sprout) arrived seconds after dispatch and found 2 cars in the road with one patient in the driver seat of one vehicle and fluids leaking out of the second with a total of 3 patients, no entrapment and established the command. Command requested that the rescue hold in station and the engine respond for fluid clean up. United Engine 2 responded with a crew of 4 and additional responders going to the scene.
