The Crew deployed a 1 3/4"
hose line and used a fog pattern to dissipate the gas while the technician
removed and capped the valve. Montrose EMS and United Engine 6 also
responded to the scene at commands request should they be needed. All
units were in service by 08:30. There were no injuries reported and the
gas company remained on scene to fix the problem.

On Tuesday March 27th,
2007 just before 07:30 hours Susquehanna County Communications
dispatched United Fire Company at the request of United 12 (M.Hinds) for
a propane leak on Post Pond Rd. in Bridgewater Twp. at Craft's Lumber.
United 12 was on scene with an outside above ground 1,000 gallon propane
tank leaking from an overfill valve. The serviceman was on scene
requesting a safety line while he attempted to remove and cap the valve.
United 12 requested that the engine and tanker respond. Engine 2
and Tanker 4 responded with 3 and additional members arrived in POV.
