Saturday April 21st, 2007 kept united crews busy. The first call was for a brush fire on Baliey Rd in Franklin Twp.  United 13 (C.E. Daly) along with united brush 7 and 5, engine 6 , and tanker 4 responded to the report. United 37 (J. Kelly) arrived first to find the fire burnt out. United 13 held the call to Brush 7 only. Units operated on scene for a short time checking for hot spots. The fire was believed to be started by careless smoking. Next call for the day was for a rescue assist to Hop Bottom Fire Company for a two car crash with occupant still in the vehicle. Hop Bottom 11 arrived quickly to find a single car crash with the occupant out of the vehicle canceling the rescue before they responded . A short time later United 18 (M. Rosin) came on an accident on SR 29 south before South Montrose. United 18 found a pick up truck into the bank. The occupant was out of the vehicle and not injured. 18 requested the fire department for traffic control and fluid clean up. Engine 2 responded with a crew of 5 with additional to the scene.  Crews operated for just under 1/2 and hour while PSP did the investigation and the tow service removed the vehicle.
