On Wednesday June 13th, 2007 just before 14:00
communications dispatched United Fire Company along with Montrose EMS for
the report of a 1 car crash in the area of the golf course. United 37 (L.
Very) was on scene quickly reporting the occupant out of the car walking
in the direction of town the car off the road on the bank. United Engine 2
responded with a crew of 4. EMS located the driver at the car dealer,
arranging for a tow and returned him to the scene with no injuries.
Engine 2 directed traffic while PSP did the investigation. It was found
that the driver accidentally found his way onto the golf course and was
attempting to use a cart path to get back on the road .
