United Responds to house Fire in Brooklyn

At approximately 1915hrs on Wednesday, August 15, the Brooklyn Structure box was dispatched for a residential fire.  On the assignment:  HBE1, HBE2, UE6, HBT3, UT, UTWR3, HBR4, R18 and a BLS rig from Montrose.  Hop Bottom 14 arrived with a working residential fire and assigned HBE1 to layout from the corner and HBE2 to pick up the lay and head for water.  The crew from HBE1 stretched a line to division 1 where high heat was found with no fire.  The crew relocated to an exterior entrance to the basement where heavy fire was located.  UTWR3 arrived and split with a crew laddering the roof for ventilation and the other taking a line in division 1.  R18 arrived and established the staging for the RIT gear while a walk around was completed.  The Rescue crew also opened up division 1 and threw multiple ground ladders.   Harford and Nicholson were special called for additional staffing.  HBE2 and UE6 both served as water supply to the scene via LDH.  Rescue 18 served as the command post, lighting and air unit along with equipment assisting in rehab.  Units cleared just before 2200hrs.
