Ladder Engine and Tanker Go to Brooklyn 

Early in the afternoon on Wednesday December 26th, 2007 United fire Company was alerted to assist Hop Bottom Fire Company with a barn fire on the Dimock to Brooklyn Rd. in Brooklyn Twp. The Box brought the Tower Engine 6, and the Tanker. United 13 (C. E. Daly) reported to the county shortly after dispatch that he was responding with smoke visible from his residence confirming the fire. United 13 was the first officer to arrive with the report of a small barn fully involved with the larger barn also starting to burn. Hop Bottom Engine 1 was first to arrive and laid a 5" line up the drive way.

Hop Bottom's Tanker by passed the drive way and set it portable pump in a pond just up the hill. Hop Bottoms Engine crew pulled two 1 3/4" lines, one to the second division of the large Barn and the other to the bulk of the fire in the main fire barn. United Tower arrived and positioned on the "A" side of the larger barn and began opening up. United Engine 6 picked up Hop Bottom's 5" and laid the to pond. Crews made a quick stop on the fire as crews from Nicholson, Clifford, Springville, and Harford arrived. Crews operated for about 2 hours doing overhaul. There were no injuries reported and the barn housed no animals. All units were in-service shortly before 16:00
