On the weekend of
January 27,28, 2007 A member of the United Fire Company traveled to
Susquehanna Fire Department to participate in ice rescue training. Also
involved in the event were members of Forest Lake Fire Company and
Susquehanna Fire. The group was instructed on techniques to safely
access and remove victims of ice related emergencies. The class was
taught by Pa Water Rescue in conjunction with PA fish and Boat Commission.
The group is looking forward to the advance lines class in the spring.
We would like to thank the members and families of the Susquehanna Fire
Department for their hospitality.
