On Thursday May 15th, 2008 just before 10:00 Communications alerted United for the report of a vehicle fire SR 29 just south of the Boro. United12 (M.Hinds) was first to arrive reporting a passenger car working fire in the engine compartment. United engine 2 and Tanker both responded with crews of 2. The engine arrived and pulled the 1 3/4" hose pack to extinguish the fire. Crews brought the fire under control quickly and the fire was out with in 15 minutes of dispatch. Crews remained on scene assisting state police with the investigation.
