On the evening Wednesday, July 27 2008 at around 18:00 Susquehanna County Communications Dispatched the box for an ATV accident with 1 pinned under the machine on Teal Rd. in Springville's fist due. United Rescue with a crew of 4 and United 11 responded. Springville arrived and reported that the PT was no longer pinned but was about a mile off the road. The united crew began getting ready to remove the patient as Communications was dispatching United Fire for the reported structure fire at 10 Wilson St. in the Boro. Smoke coming from an electrical outlet. Crews at the rescue loaded the equipment in pick-up trucks and used them to get as close to the scene as possible.  Crews assisted EMS with packaging the PT and carried the victim about 100 feet through rough terrain to the ambulance. meanwhile United tower with a crew of 4 and engine 2 with a crew of 6 responded to the report of the fire. Crews arrived to find nothing evident from the exterior and quickly controlled the electrical in residence and did a quick search for extension. with no extension found the Crew advised the resident to contact an electrician to fix the problem. all crews were in-service from both incident by 19:00. the victim of the ATV crash was transported by EMS to the hospital there were no further injuries reported at either incident.
