Tuesday Brings Fire Alarm and Rescue Training
On the Morning of Tuesday July 22nd, 2008  United Fire company was alerted for the report of a smoke alarm activation at Price Chopper SR 706 in Bridgewater twp. United Tower responded with 4 and engine 6 also with 4. Communications updated that the manager had called reporting no visible fire but would like the fire department to check it out. United 17 (R. Coy) arrived with nothing showing from the exterior. The tower arrived and crew checked the interior of the store with no fire found. Engine 6 had staged at the hydrant in the parking lot of the plaza. Crews were in service with in 15 minutes of arrival on scene. Later that evening Crews gathered at the fire hall for the first installment of training on the operation of the new rescue. Crews will continue to train over the next couple of weeks. The new Rescue should be in service the beginning of August.
