Brush Fire
On Tuesday March 24th,2009 while units operated on a fire with Snake Creek United along with the cover up assignments to replace the units on the other fire. fire was dispatched for the brush fire with possibly a barn involved on Sterling RD. in Bridgewater Twp. United 11 (P.Sprout) responded from the first fire requesting Full responses from Springville and Elk Lake along with Rush for a tanker. United Engine 2 responded with a crew of 4. Montrose EMS unit was first on scene with the report of a brush fire and several large round bales on fire but the barn was not on fire at this time. United Engine 2 arrived to find the same and went in service with 2 hand lines protecting the barn. Springville's tanker arrived and supplied engine 2. Elk lakes brush truck took care of the Brush fire extending along the road. Units operated for just over an hour assisted by the home owner who used his track loader to break up the round bales for extinguishment. While units operated on this fire united brush truck (back in service from the other Fire was dispatched to respond to Springville on a brush fire on SR 3004.  No Injuries were reported and about 1 acre of land was burnt.
