07:17 hours on Tuesday April
7th, 2009 United Fire was alerted for the report of a 3 car crash with
injuries possibly head on on SR 706 east Bridgewater Twp. United Rescue
and engine responded with 3 each. Montrose EMS arrived on scene
confirming the report on dispatch with no entrapment. While the rescue
was responding they came upon a truck on it's side 1/2 mile before the
initial incident with the occupant still in the vehicle. United Rescue
stopped and began stabilizing the vehicle Engine 2 continued to the
initial call. The crew from the engine assisted EMS with patient
packaging and control hazards and traffic. The rescue assisted the
occupant of the truck out of the vehicle and packaged the patient while
waiting for EMS to arrive. The crew from the rescue then controlled the
hazards and then were directed to the other scene to assist with
traffic. Crews remained while PSP did the investigation and the tow
services removed the the vehicles. In all 3 patients were transported to
the hospital with minor injuries. all united units were returned to
service by 08:30
