Just before 18:00 Hours on
Thursday April 9th, 2009 United fire company was alerted for a 1 car
crash 1 mile north of Montrose on SR 29. United Rescue and Engine 2
responded with 8 members. Units arrived to find a car into an embankment
and a trailer that was attached to a pick up that was struck. The PT was
self extricated from the car and in the hands of EMS. The Crew from the
rescue went to work controlling hazards while the engine staff set up
traffic on the south end. Crews remained on scene while state police did
the investigation and the tow services removed the vehicles. There were
no injuries reported.
