Working Fire
On Wednesday July 8th, 2009 United fire was dispatched for an engine and tanker to assist New Milford fire with a residential fire on Ebbs Corners RD. in Franklin Twp at 18:54. United Engine 6 and the tanker responded with a total of 7 personnel with additional responding to the scene. United 15 would be first to arrive with a working basement fire. United 13 (C. E. Daly) would arrive and establish the ebbs corner command requesting the first engine to lay a line in the drive way. New Milford engine arrived and laid the line Hallstead Engine picked up the lay and set up a drop site for tankers. United Engine 6 the third arriving engine was assigned to set up a fill site at a near by pond. The tanker went into the scene and staged. Engine 6 had to overcome obstacles to reach the pond. once into the pond command told the engine to stage they had control of the fire Engine 6 stood by for about 30 mins before being released by command with no fill site needed. the Tanker was released shortly after. All United  units were back in service by 20:20. Engine 98 had relocated to Our station while units operated.
