On Monday September 7th, 2009 shortly after 15:00 United fire company
was alerted for a vehicle fire on the Meshoppen Creek rd. in Dimock Twp.
United 14 responded to the scene and was advised the owner believed he
had the fire out but wanted the fire company to come check. United
Engine 2 and the Tanker responded. United 14 arrived to find a small
pick-up that appeared to be out about 6 feet from a residence. The
engine arrived and deployed a hand line to wet down the fire and
overhaul. Crews were in service in about 30 min's. There were no
injuries reported but the vehicle sustained moderate damage.
