Just Before 05:00 hours on Monday December 21st, 2009 United fire was
alerted for a vehicle fire on SR 29 near lake Montrose. United 11 marked
responding and was updated that Penn-DOT was on scene it was fully
involved. United Engine 2 responded with a crew of 4. United 11 arrived
on scene to find a pick-up truck well involved in the road with no
exposures and the occupant out of the vehicle not injured. United Engine
2 arrived and stretched a 100 foot hand line to attack the fire. Engine
6 and the utility would also respond. Crews remained on scene for about
and hour overhauling the fire and controlling traffic. State police
handled the investigation.
