At 21:34 on Monday January 18th, 2010 United fire was alerted for a
tanker and manpower assist to Silver Lake for the fully involved
structure fire on Kelly Rd. in Silver Lake twp. the first officer to
arrive found a detached garage fully involved with exposure to the
residence about 20 feet away. United tanker responded with a crew of 2
followed by Engine 6 with a crew of 5 United tanker arrived and was
staged at the scene for water supply. Engine 6 staged at the end of the
road and then was assigned to set up a fill site on Kinney rd. Silver
lake Crews quickly knocked the bulk of the fire down and determined it
had not extended to the residence. Command then released United taker
from the scene and requested that they go to Forest lake's station to
stand by until they could be returned to service. Engine 6 established a
fill site from the dry hydrant at Tall pines Players club and filled
tankers. Both units were available at 23:35. |
