Monday January 25, 2010 Heavy rains moved into the area and quickly
flash flooding began. United spent the day pumping basements wile also
responding for a possible structure fire that turned out to be unfounded
and 2 Vehicle crashes. Crews were also requested by police and DOT for
closing roads that has become submerged by water. In an eight hour
period United Fire was dispatched for 11 incidents as well as handling
several other public service calls. At the end of the day several
roads in the area remained closed as the water receded.
