Around 18:30 on Sunday January 31st, 2010 United fire and Montrose
E.M.S. were alerted for
a 1 vehicle crash on SR 29 South near the bowling ally.
Communications reported car into a utility pole unknown if wires were
down. United 11 (P. Sprout) arrived quickly to find a small coup
that had struck a utility pole with both occupants out of the vehicle
requiring E.M.S. evaluation, no wires down. United rescue responded with
4 and Engine 2 with 5. United rescue arrived and pulled up to the
vehicle to handle the hazards while Engine 2 took a blocking position in
the south bound lanes. United fire Police handled traffic. crews
remained on scene while state police did the investigation and the tow
service removed the vehicle. Both occupants were transported to the
Hospital by E.M.S. All United units were returned to service by 19:30.
