Busy Day




Tuesday February 2nd 2010, the day started out before noon with a traffic control call assist to PSP while they investigated the crash from last Thursday. The next incident came in shortly before 16:00 for traffic control assist to the Police for a vehicle roll over on SR 167 North of Montrose. The next call came in around 17:05 for the reported Chimney fire on SR 29 north in Bridgewater twp. United 11 reported to the scene to find a 1 story residential with heavy smoke in the residence probable working structure fire. The tower responded with a crew of 5 and Engine 2 with a crew of 5. The tower arrived and was directed to ladder to ladder the chimney and get a inside crew to find he source. the crews traced the source back to a plugged chimney with fire. crews ventilated the structure and controlled the fire. United crews were assisted on scene by snake Creek tanker. Unites were back in service by 18:30. there were no injuries reported and there was moderate smoke damage to the structure.   The next call of the day came in around 19:00 for the one vehicle into a tree with the occupant still in the vehicle on SR 3001 Bridgewater Twp.. Within minutes the rescue and the engine went in route with 14 members. Elk Lakes engine out on a road test arrived a few minuets later and reported negative entrapment with the occupant still in the vehicle with facial injuries. United 11 arrived and released elk lakes engine and cancelled united engine. Command held the rescue to control hazards and assist ems with PT care. All united units were in service at 20:30
