Shortly after 00:00 on Wednesday March 17th, 2010 United fire was
alerted for a electrical transformer fire on SR 29 south near the South
Montrose Vet Clinic. Before units responded communications was now
redispaching the incident as a 1 vehicle crash adding E.M.S. to the run.
United 11 arrived to find a vehicle into a pole with wires down unable
to confirm if any one was in it. United Rescue and Engine 2 would
respond. Command quickly notified that Penelec would be needed due to 2
poles broken and wires down. United Rescue arrived and set up lighting
and traffic north of the scene. Engine 2 was directed to close 29 at the
Meshoppen creek rd. The driver of the vehicle arrived back at the scene
reporting he was the only one in the vehicle at the time. Crews remained
on scene while PSP did the investigation and controlling traffic until
the power company could take over. All United Units were back in service
at 04:30.
