While Crews were operating on the brush fire in Fairdale United Fire
along with automatic mutual aid due to units being tied up from
New Milford
brush and Silver Lake brush were alerted for a a brush
fire at 15:45. The second fire was on Bronson Hill Rd in Bridgewater
twp. United 11 responded along with Brush 7 being released form the
other fire and United Engine 2 along with additional personnel to the
scene. New Milford Brush was first to arrive with a woods fire about 2
acres in size. their brush truck found access through a field and
positioned to stop the fire extending up the hill United brush
arrived and set up to protect the residence. Crews made a quick stop on
the fire unfortunately new Milford brush suffered a flat tire. The crew
from New Milford were able to Finnish up overhauling their end of the
fire before the back their truck out of the area while crews from united
went back to their residence to obtain a jack to assist with changing
the tire. Silver Lake Brush arrived and assisted with overhaul.
Crews held the fire to about 2 acars and remained on scene about an hour
overhauling the fire. their were no injuries reported.
