Saturday Brings Traffic Crashes
Saturday March 20th, 2010 early afternoon the rescue was dispatched to assist New Milford fire and Hallstead rescue for a two vehicle head on Crash with 5 patients and 2 entrapped on Main St. in New Milford. United rescue responded with a crew of 10 along with additional to the scene. The rescue arrived and deployed the Hurst maverick tool to assist Hallstead in freeing the second patient. the second patient was removed from the vehicle within 5 minuets of our arrival. once the extrication was complete the rescue was released by command. As the rescue was returning to the boro Communications was dispatching United Fire for traffic control on SR 29 south Bridgewater twp. for a 2 vehicle crash no injuries. United 31 would respond  and arrive to find 2 vehicle rear end collision with the southbound lane blocked. fire police set up a traffic pattern with the utility responding to assist with clean up. The second incident was cleared within a 1/2 hour.
