Around 07:22 on Monday October 25th, 2010 United fire was alerted to
assist Snake creek fire with and Engine, rescue and Tanker as part of
the first alarm assignment for a structure fire on Shadow brook drive in
liberty Twp. Snake Creek units arrived to find a 1 story residential
structure with heavy smoke from all sides. United Engine 6 arived and
set up a dump site at SR 29 and shadow brook Drive and hand jacked 200'
of 5" hose from Snake creek engine. Engine 6 crew then went to assist
with the fire attack. the tanker arrived and assisted with the tanker
shuttle and the rescue arrived and assisted with tools and the cascade
system. shortly after our arrival it was determined the the floor
was giving in and all units were pulled from the structure and defensive
operations began. Crews remained on scene until shortly after 10:00
assisting with overhaul. there were no injuries reported and the
building was a total loss.
