Around 18:45 hours on Tuesday November 16th, 2010 with the Haz-mat ops
refresher class was just getting underway United fire was alerted to a 1
vehicle roll over with the occupant out of the vehicle on SR 706 east
past the Claverack building in Bridgewater twp. United 13 (C.E. Daly)
was first to arrive with a bystander reporting that the occupant had
climbed back into the vehicle while he was calling. United 13 found 1
occupant in the vehicle that was partially on it's side and the victim
was unresponsive. The rescue was directed to pull past the scene
and set up lighting and deploy cribbing and air shores. The engine
stopped short and deployed the safety line. United utility 5 was
directed to close the road at the high school road and divert all
traffic and fire police closed off the east side. Once the
vehicle was stabilized crews went to work removing the drivers door to
free the victim. The patient was handed off to EMS. Crews remained on
scene while the state police handled the investigation and the tow
service removed the vehicle.
