At 00:49 Hours United fire was alerted for a chimney fire on Bebe Hollow
Road in Bridgewater twp. Communications was advising the home owner
thought he might have it out but was not sure. United 11 responded to
the scene. United 15 arrived with a 2 1/2 story wood frame with nothing
showing. United Tower responded with a crew of 2 followed by Engine 2
with 2. United 11 arrived and established the Bebe hollow command. The
tower arrived and was positioned at the "c" side of the building with
the crew going inside to control the fire box and check for extension.
Command then requested with limited staffing to have it redispatched for
man power to the scene. The engine arrived and was staged ready to lay
out. the engine crew was then directed to assist in the basement sector.
Crews found the fire in the chimney was out but had started to extend to
the sill plate. crew opened up and extinguished the fire. As additional
personnel was arriving the tower was set up to check the flue.
With the flue clear united units began packing up. there was very minor
damage to the residence and no injuries reported. |
