At 15:03 on Sunday October 23, 2011 United Fire was alerted for and
engine and tanker to respond as part of the first alarm assignment to
Mucky Run Road for a garage fire in Snake Creek's first due. United
Engine 6 responded with a crew of three followed by the Tanker with a
crew of two. While responding communications advised there was a unit on
scene reporting the garage fully involved and endangering other
structures. Snake creek officers then requested the second alarm be
struck adding United tower to the alarm. The tower also responded with
three. snake creek units arrived and use the deck gun off the first
engine to knock down the bulk of the fire. United engine and tanker
arrived and were assigned to overhaul and water supply. command then
held the units on scene returning the remaining units. crew operated on
scene for about 30 minutes before being released by command. the fire
destroyed the garage but there were no injuries reported. The fire was
kept from spreading to nearby structures but they did receive some heat
damage.
