Early in the morning on Saturday October 29th, 2011 United fire was
alerted for a tanker assist to New Milford Fire as cover up on the
second alarm for a working residential fire. United Tanker would respond
with 2 with a crew standing by in station. The Tanker would arrive and
join water supply operations. About an hour and a half after the tanker
responded command on scene would request United Engine to the scene for
manpower. United Engine 6 responded with a crew of 4. On arrival the
crew was assigned to overhaul on division one in the rear. once this
task was completed they were reassigned to overhaul and suppression on
division 2. The crew from united teamed up with the crew from Clifford
ladder to complete the task. All united units were released from the
scene just before 06:00
