Rescue Assist
Around 07:30 on Saturday February 4th, 2012 United fire was alerted for a 1 vehicle crash on Button Road in Dimock twp. A rescue assist to Springville.  United rescue responded with a crew of 6. Springville units arrived to find a car into a tree with one patient serious injuries. they requested the rescue continue. the rescue arrived and was requested to split crews with 2 members assisting Springville with patient packaging and the rescue and remainder of the crew to set up a landing Zone for Guthrie Air.  The rescue set up a LZ in a near by field. Once the victim was loaded into the helicopter the rescue was released. while returning one of the crew noticed a vehicle over the bank in the woods in the area of carter road and SR 3023. the rescue turned around on the investigation and found a SUV that had hit a tree and slid down the bank with no one around the vehicle. The rescue reported this incident to communication. upon further investigation it was found that the crash happened around 9 p.m. the night before. With that report the state police advised we could leave the scene with no traffic hazards and they would handle the investigation. The crew was back in service a little after 09:00.
