On Monday June 19th, 2006 at 15:44 hours the Susquehanna County communications dispatched the Springville Fire Company along with Montrose EMS and Hop Bottom Tanker, United Tower and Engine for a report of a structure fire in Dimock Twp on Vanauken Rd. United Tower 3 responded at 15:46 with a crew of 6 followed by Engine 6 at 15:49 with a crew of 4. Springville 11 (D.Birchard) arrived on scene first and established command reporting that the structure was fully involved and falling in. Springville Engine 2 and United Tower 3 were the first apparatus to arrive. Command requested that the Engine pull up to the A side if the building and use its deck gun and requested that the Tower crew handle the truck work. Command requested that United Engine 6 relocate to springville's station to cover up. Command held all other units to the scene.

The fire was knocked down quickly with the deck gun and the Engine crews pulled the 1 3/4" attack line. The crew from the tower went to work opening up the sides of the building.  The crew pulled down the the walls still standing to access the seat of the fire as well as make the scene safer to work around.  The truck crew then removed the tin from the fire while the engine crew knocked down the rest of the fire.  Now that the crews had the fire under control command made the decision to switch to a foam line to finish mop up.  Command released Hop Bottom Tanker and held the engine tower and Springville's Tanker to finish over haul.
